Purpose, Aims and Objects of Sinai College of Theology

The purpose of the College of Theology is to train Pastors, Evangelists and Christian Religious Knowledge Teachers. In keeping with this purpose, it is the desire of the college to prepare young men and women to be effective witnesses for Christ. The courses are designed especially for those who feel called to the Christian ministry to serve God in Aladura Churches in Nigeria and her environ hence, the following aims of the college:

• To lead each student to a fuller experience of Christ as Saviour and the Lord and to the development of a truly Christian character.
• To guide each student into a more thorough knowledge of the Word of God and to equip him/her with methods for continuing personal study.
• To give the student love for, and dedication to the Church, the Body of Christ, and to show him/her God’s place in his worldwide commission.
• To train Ministers and Deaconesses to serve effectively in their pastoral and prophetic Ministries.
• To train effective Christian Religious Knowledge Teachers for primary and secondary schools.
• To make students aware of the relationship between the Church and society.
• The Institute trains young people for Christian service, graduates and offers employment to those who finish the course.
• To train students for Theological Studies and Research.
• To train students for the Ordained Ministry.
• To provide Pastoral Training and enhance spiritual life and dynamism; and to be the centre for academic excellence and character building.
